By accessing and using GitaQuest ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. The Service

GitaQuest is a free, educational web platform for learning the Bhagavad Gita through interactive quizzes. The Service includes:

• Quiz questions across 18 Bhagavad Gita chapters
• Progressive tier system (Beginner → Expert)
• Daily challenges and streak tracking
• Reward system (lotus petals)
• Global leaderboard (opt-in)

Important Disclaimer: Quiz content is generated using AI and may contain inaccuracies. GitaQuest is not an authoritative source for religious or philosophical scholarship. Content is for educational entertainment and learning support only.

3. User Account

3.1 Authentication

You sign in using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Google account credentials. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Account Deletion

You may delete your GitaQuest account at any time from your Profile page. Upon deletion, all quiz results, rewards, sessions, and personal information are permanently deleted within 30 days.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Automate access to the Service using bots, scrapers, or scripts
• Manipulate or cheat quiz scoring systems
• Attempt to hack or disrupt the Service
• Interfere with other users' experience
• Use the Service for illegal purposes
• Submit spam, harassment, or abusive content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or access non-public APIs

Violations may result in account suspension or termination without warning.

5. Content

5.1 AI-Generated Content

Quiz questions, explanations, and Krishna quotes are generated by AI language models. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain:

• Factual inaccuracies or misinterpretations
• Anachronistic information
• Unverified claims about religious texts

5.2 Content Flags & Reporting

Users can report questionable content using the flag button on each question. Flagged content is reviewed regularly by our team. We appreciate your help in improving content quality.

5.3 Our Content Rights

All original content, illustrations, and code are owned by GitaQuest or licensed under appropriate open-source licenses (SVGs are public domain or CC-licensed). You may not reproduce or redistribute this content without permission.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any content you create (quiz answers, account data). By using GitaQuest, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use your data to improve the Service and generate aggregated insights (always anonymized).

7. Limitation of Liability

GitaQuest is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We disclaim all warranties, express or implied (merchantability, fitness for purpose, non-infringement)
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability does not exceed the amount you paid (zero, as the Service is free)
• We are not responsible for service interruptions or data loss

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GitaQuest and its creators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these terms
• Your use of the Service
• Your reliance on AI-generated content

9. Service Availability

We strive for 99% uptime but do not guarantee continuous availability. We may:

• Perform maintenance (advance notice when possible)
• Modify or discontinue features
• Suspend the Service for security reasons

10. Modifications

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Significant changes will be announced before taking effect.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arise under the laws of the jurisdiction where the Service is hosted.
